How Records Get Locked

How Records Become Locked in Clevr

A "locked" record is when a record has a read only status applied to it preventing edits from being made.

Records in Clevr can become locked through a number of processes listed below:
  1. Record Rollover - A record can be locked via the Record Rollover process. If a new record or clone style rollover was selected for the form and the most recent record is locked, it's likely that the person was on the inactive list at the time of the record rollover. A bulk lock style rollover will also only bulk lock the records without creating a new or cloned record.
  2. Locking Trigger on the Form - Some forms have a locking trigger, for example an apply signature section that also locks the record. If a user triggers this section the record will be locked.
  3. Manually within the Record Hisotry - Some admin users have access to manually lock records in the record history.
  4. Manually Removing a Person from the Dashboard - New functionality has been added to the Dashboard so that when a record is manually removed, it gets locked automatically to prevent future accidental overwrites.
