The Import button in the Tool Bar provides a specialized shortcut to the Import Module. Please note that this is an administrative feature; if your user role does not have the required permissions, this icon will not be visible in your Tool Bar.
To begin, click the Import icon in the Tool Bar.
Instead of taking you to the main Import Module menu, this button skips the standard navigation and takes you directly to the "Run Now" screen. This shortcut saves time by pre-setting several conditions:
- Form-Specific: The tool automatically filters the available import configurations to show only those belonging to the form you are currently viewing.
- Filter-Specific: The import is automatically limited in scope to the specific records you have currently filtered on your Home Page.
- Record Count: At the top of the screen, you will see a count (e.g., Person: 100) which displays exactly how many records are included in the current import based on your Home Page filters.
Important Note: A normal "Run Now" execution within the main Import Module has no filters and will attempt to import data for all people and records. Using the Import button on your Home Page is the only way to trigger an import that is specifically restricted to your currently filtered list.Running Configurations
While the tool is pre-filtered for your current form, you still have full control over which data is processed:
- Multiple Configurations: If there are multiple import configurations available for your current form, you can select one or more from the Import Options menu.
- Standard Controls: The rest of the screen functions like a standard manual import, allowing you to choose your Alias Options, Record Creation Mode, and whether to Import Blank Values before clicking Execute.
- Bypassing the Main Menu: This shortcut allows you to execute these imports immediately without having to search through the full Import Module for the correct configuration.
