While searching helps you find the right people, Columns allow you to choose exactly which pieces of information you see about them in your record list. Customizing your columns ensures that your Home Page displays only the data that is relevant to your current task.
Accessing the Columns Menu
To start customizing your view, click the Columns icon in the Tool Bar, located next to the Search icon. This opens a window divided into two main sections:
- Available Columns: A list of all the data fields you are allowed to see.
- Selected Columns: A list of the data fields currently appearing on your screen.
Adding and Removing Columns
You can easily move information between the two lists to change your view:
- Add a Column: Select one or more items from the Available list and click the Add button to move them to your view.
- Remove a Column: Select items in the Selected list and click the Remove button to hide them from your view.
- Bulk Selection: You can click multiple items at once to move them as a group.
Organizing Your Screen Layout
The order of the columns in your Selected list determines how they appear on your screen from left to right.
- The Selection Order: The order in which you click and add columns is the order they will be placed in the list.
- Rearranging Columns: You can change the layout at any time by selecting a column (or a group of columns) and dragging them to a new position within the Selected list.
How Clevr Remembers Your Columns
Your column choices are permanent. Clevr automatically remembers exactly which columns you’ve selected, and you will not be forced back to a default view when you log out or refresh the page.
The only time your columns will update automatically is if you have a Saved Search set as your default that also has the Automatically configure columns setting turned on. In that specific case, loading the search will rearrange your columns to match that search's saved preferences.
Quick Find Within Columns
If you are looking for a specific data field among dozens of options, use the Filter... box at the top of either list to quickly find the field by name.
