PowerSchool Extended Contacts Plugin
We are pleased to inform you that we support PowerSchool Extended Contacts! To proceed, you will need to install a plugin in PowerSchool. Please note that there is no need to uninstall any existing plugins—simply add this new one.
Step 1: Install the plugin
- Log into Clevr as you normally would.
- Once logged in, paste the following URL into your browser: https://www.clevrcloud.ca/clevr/app#/powerschool/plugins
- Click the "Extended Contacts" button, download the plugin, and install it in PowerSchool.
You need to be logged into an active session in Clevr to naviage to the URL containign the plugin files
Step 2: Provide our team with required settings
We will need you to confirm if there are any flags or types of information within Extended Contacts that you prefer not to import into your forms. For example, if you do not wish to include certain contacts, such as the third contact on a list or contacts categorized as “Doctor,” we can filter them out. Otherwise, all contacts will be imported by default.
To help us customize the import process, please email us the following details:
- Will "parent" contacts have the "IsCustodialContact" box checked?
- Will the "RelationshipType" field include specific values, such as "Parent"?
- Is there any sensitive information you'd prefer not to import into Clevr? For example, would you like to exclude contacts with certain relationship types, like "Grandmother" or "Friend"?
- Do you want to limit the data import to specific relationship types or flags? For instance, importing only contacts with a "Custody" or "Lives With" designation, or restricting it to relationships such as "Father" or "Mother"?
- Please provide a list of forms and form fields you would like to integrate with the SIS data from the extended contacts.
These filters will be applied to the form. Data that meets the filter criteria will be excluded from the form.
Here are a few examples of filters:
- A set position of the data to be excluded such as "The third contact on the list"
- Specific relationship types you want to limit the data to such as father / mother, etc.
- Active/Inactive flags such as Import contacts with "Custody" flag set or "Lives With" flag set
The fields listed below can be used as a filter:
- ContactLangComp
- HomeRoom
- IsCustodialContact
- IsEmergencyContact
- IsLivesWithContact
- IsReceivesMailContact
- IsSchoolPickupContact
- Relationshiptype
Once you have installed the plugin and confirmed these details, our team will complete the configuration and contact you when the work has been completed.
