As we transition to the new Dashboard 2025 framework, we want to ensure you are aware of specific features that are currently unavailable or behave differently than in the previous system.

Please review this list before planning your rollout to ensure your configuration strategy accounts for these items.

Functional Limitations

These are specific features that are temporarily unavailable or have specific access requirements in the current release.
  1. Guardian Access Card: The Guardian Access card is unavailable in this release. We are currently developing a dedicated, child-centric dashboard specifically for parents.
  2. Defaulting a Shared Saved Search:
    1. How it Works: When a saved search is shared with you, you are not able to make changes to it. However, because the option to set a saved search as default is within the edit popup, you are unable to set a saved search that is shared with you as default.
    2. How to Work Around: A new feature on the Homepage is the ability to apply a role / configuration saved search, which applies a saved search to everyone using that configuration. If everyone in a role should be using a specific shared saved search as their default, it can be set in Dashboard Configuration.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.05.0, releasing on March 23rd, 2026.
  3. Resetting to the Default Column Configuration
    1. How it Works: When you apply your own column configuration on a form, that set of columns is remembered for that user forever. Users currently lack the ability to "reset" or return to a non-remembered configuration, allowing them to receieve any updated Default Columns configured for them by their administrator.
    2. How it Will Work: Users will have a button to apply their current default columns, which will also remove any remembered configuration.

Design Behaviors

These are intentional design choices that differ from the previous workflow.
  1. Legacy Mode Persistence:
    1. How it Works: When a user clicks the Return to Legacy button (Four Square icon), the system respects this choice for the duration of the session. The user will remain in the legacy environment even if they navigate away or refresh the page.
    2. How to Return: To switch back to Dashboard 2025, the user must log out and log back in. This resets the session preference to their default Landing Page setting.
  2. Forms Missing in Dashboard Configuration
    1. How it Works: When you are missing forms in your Dashboard Configuration list, you likely do not have the specific Form Right setting to configure this form's dashboards.
    2. How to Add: To add a form to Dashboard Configuration, you must got to Form Management > Select your form > Form Rights card and select your role. Under "Other Actions", check "Users in this role can configure Dashboards for this form". This will add the form to your list of dashboards to configure.

Known Issues

These are known bugs or user experience quirks that we are actively working to address.
  1. Copying a Shared Saved Search updates Original:
    1. The Issue: When a user copies a Saved Search that is shared with them, sometimes the process updates the original saved search owned by another user.
    2. Impact: End users can modify a system shared saved search.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.05.0, releasing on March 23rd, 2026.
  2. Share Searches Page Right
    1. The Issue: When creating or editing a saved search, users can share a Saved Search with other roles, regardless of their access to a page right meant to control this access.
    2. Impact: Users may be able to share Saved Searches when they weren't intended to have that ability. These saved searches can be unshared via Dashboard Configuration.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.05.0, releasing on March 23rd, 2026.
  3. Birthdate missing as a Column
    1. The Issue: When attempting to configure the columns of the Homepage, users no longer can add "Birthdate" as a column.
    2. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.05.0, releasing on March 23th, 2026.
  4. Legal Name missing as a Column
    1. The Issue: When attempting to configure the columns of the Homepage, users no longer can add "Legal Name" as a column.
    2. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.06.0, releasing on April 6th, 2026.
  5. Default Configuration Columns
    1. The Issue: When a user uses the Home page to view a form using the "Default" dashboard configuration, the columns configured will not be used.
    2. Impact: Before applying their own column configuration, these users will have the basic set of columns displayed as their configuration. Once fixed, users who have not applied their own columns will start to see the columns from the configuration.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.06.0, releasing on April 6th, 2026.
  6. No selected columns breaks Table
    1. The Issue: When a user has no selected columns, the table displays a blank list of rows that can not be clicked on. The expectation would be that they would only see the "Name" column, which is manditory and always displayed.
    2. Impact: Users who have a column configuration applied for them via a default columns or Saved Search that have no columns selected will not be able to use the Home page effectively. They should apply at least one column manually to restore functionality.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.06.0, releasing on April 6th, 2026.
  7. Dragging Columns into the Filter
    1. The Issue: An unexpected behaviour can occur where a user who is reordering columns can drag them into the filter, applying the underlying data structure (a list of columns) as the filter value.
    2. Impact: Users who drag this value into the filter will have their list of columns filtered by the whole list, which will never match a column name. It will appear that the columns have disappeared. Removing the filter will restore the list of columns.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.07.0.

Development Roadmap

We are actively developing improvements for the following areas:
  1. Parent/Guardian Dashboard: We are developing a dedicated, child-centric dashboard specifically for parents. This will replace the old "Guardian Access" card with a more robust and secure experience.
  2. Classes Filtering: We are improving the specific "Classes" filter found in the Add Modal and the Class & Group Insights list. Future updates will better support users who have location-wide access but need to filter by specific class lists.

Resolved Issues

  1. Role Filter Operator Behavior:
    1. The Issue: When using the "is not" operator for Role search criteria, the system incorrectly returns results as though the "is" operator was selected.
    2. Impact: This prevents users from successfully excluding specific roles from their results, which may lead to incorrect data appearing in Listings searches.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.02.0, releasing on February 9th, 2026.
  2. Class & Group Insights Column Breakdown:
    1. The Issue: Within Class & Group Insights, adding a form to the column view without selecting a specific field from that form can cause the dashboard display to go blank. Once this occurs, the "Add Columns" button may stop functioning for that specific group view.
    2. Impact: This effectively breaks the display for the affected group or class. While other areas of the dashboard remain functional, users should ensure they select at least one specific field when adding a new form to the insights list to avoid this state.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.02.0, releasing on February 9th, 2026.
  3. Person Profile Search Navigation:
    1. The Issue: Attempting to use the person profile search from the Home page will sometimes fail to open the specific Person Profile.
    2. Impact: Users may find the search result unresponsive, preventing them from navigating directly to a Person Profile from the Home screen.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.02.0, releasing on February 9th, 2026.
  4. Filter Display Bug (Visual Only):
    1. Where: All Records About Me, Class & Group Insights, and Records Assigned to Me.
    2. The Issue: When you clear a filter, the text value often remains visible in the filter box until you make another change.
    3. Impact: This is a display bug only. The filter is technically cleared, but it may look like it is still applied.
    4. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.02.0, releasing on February 9th, 2026.
  5. Pagination Resets on Page Load:
    1. The Issue: The "Rows per Page" setting (e.g., changing the view to 50 or 100 records) is not saved to your user profile.
    2. Impact: Every time you navigate away and return to the dashboard (or refresh the page), the view will reset to the default 25 rows per page.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.02.0, releasing on February 9th, 2026.
  6. iFrame Data Visibility: Fields located within iFrames on a form are not currently visible or searchable within the Dashboard 2025 interface.
    1. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.02.0, releasing on February 9th, 2026.
  7. Dashboard Configuration Access:
    1. The Limitation: You cannot access the Dashboard Configuration module unless your user account has its Landing Page set to Dashboard ver.2025.
    2. Impact: Even if you have the correct page rights to view the configuration page, the system will block access if you are still using the old dashboard as your default landing page. You must switch your own account over before you can build layouts for others.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.03.0, releasing on February 23rd, 2026.
  8. Workflow Columns (Listings Card): Columns related to Workflow status do not currently display data or function within the Listings card.
    1. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.03.0, releasing on February 23rd, 2026.
  9. Import Button Visibility:
    1. Current Behavior: Users without these rights can currently still see the button in a disabled state.
    2. Impact: While the user is still correctly prevented from performing the import, the presence of the disabled button may be confusing for those without the necessary permissions.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.03.0, releasing on February 23rd, 2026.
  10. Name Search Precision:
    1. The Limitation: The name search function currently prioritizes the strings separated by a single space (e.g., First Name and Last Name). It may fail to return results if a middle name or a second last name is included in the search string.
    2. Impact: To find a person like "Mary Ann Sills," users should search for "Mary Sills." Entering the full "Mary Ann Sills" may result in no records found.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.03.0, releasing on February 23rd, 2026.
  11. Role Switching and Menu Syncing:
    1. The Issue: When switching between different user roles, the dashboard may not always update the role name in the header or the highlighted item in the side menu. For example, the user may be switched to a specific form view, but "Class & Group Insights" remains highlighted in the menu.
    2. Impact: This can make it difficult to tell which role is currently active or which page is being displayed. If the interface appears stuck or displays the wrong role name after a switch, manually refreshing the browser page will force the dashboard to sync correctly.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.03.0, releasing on February 23rd, 2026.
  12. Saved Search Criteria Updates:
    1. The Issue: When attempting to update the criteria of a Saved Search through the Manage Saved Searches modal (on the Home page) or via Manage Shared Searches (on the Dashboard Configuration page), the changes to the criteria are not saved. All other settings within the modal save successfully as expected.
    2. Impact: Users are currently unable to modify the filtering logic of existing saved searches. As a workaround, users may need to create a new Saved Search with the desired criteria until this saving behavior is resolved.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.03.0, releasing on February 23rd, 2026.
  13. New Saved Search Visibility:
    1. The Issue: After creating a new Saved Search, the search does not immediately appear in the Search Menu on the dashboard.
    2. Impact: This prevents users from selecting and applying newly created search criteria. Users may need to refresh their browser to force the menu to update and display the new search.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.03.0, releasing on February 23rd, 2026.
  14. Dashboard Session Persistence:
    1. The Issue: The last form a user was viewing may not persist after they navigate to other pages or log out and return to the system.
    2. Impact: Users may be directed back to their top form rather than their most recently used page or form, requiring them to re-select their previous workspace manually.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.03.0, releasing on February 23rd, 2026.
  15. Saved Search Permissions:
    1. The Issue: Saving a search currently requires the user to have active access rights to the Dashboard Configuration page.
    2. Impact: If a user without these rights attempts to save a search, the action may fail, or the system may unexpectedly log the user out.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.03.0, releasing on February 23rd, 2026.
  16. Saved Search Datepicker Error:
    1. The Issue: When attempting to load a saved search that utilizes a datepicker field, an internal error may occur that prevents the Listings table from loading.
    2. Impact: This prevents the Listings card from displaying any Person Profiles, effectively rendering that specific saved search unusable until the error is resolved.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.03.0, releasing on February 23rd, 2026.
  17. Dashboard Configuration Sync:
    1. The Issue: The automated process that created the initial default Dashboard Configurations missed certain forms.
    2. Impact: Users in roles without an existing configuration will be unable to see the affected form on their dashboard, even if their standard form access rights are correctly configured.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.03.0, releasing on February 23rd, 2026.
  18. Listings Table Sorting Limitations:
    1. The Issue: Form fields configured as columns within the Listings table cannot currently be used to sort the data.
    2. Impact: While users can still search and filter using these fields, clicking the column header will not reorder the list. Note that non-form fields (system fields) are unaffected and sort as expected.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.03.0, releasing on February 23rd, 2026.
  19. Record Status Filter Missing:
    1. The Issue: The filter for searching on the Record Status is currently missing.
    2. Impact: While this filter is missing, users will not be able to display only records that are Active or Locked, only both. It is possible to partially reduce the impact by adding "Record Status" as a column, and sort by that column.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.04.0, releasing on March 9th, 2026.
  20. Location Column Not Displayed:
    1. The Issue: When a user is viewing the home page at "All Locations", they currently do not have the Locations column automatically appear, listing the person's assigned location.
    2. Impact: Until the location column is added, it will not be possible to see a person's currently assigned location in the Listings card.
    3. Scheduled to be fixed with 26.04.0, releasing on March 9th, 2026.
