Global Dashboard Settings

Global Dashboard Settings

The Global Dashboard Settings page allows you to control the look and feel of the application for all users, as well as configure system-wide navigation options like the Help button.

To access these settings, select Global Dashboard Settings from the top of the side menu in the Dashboard Configuration module.

Branding

Use the Dashboard Title dropdown to customize what appears at the top of the main left-hand navigation menu. There are three available display modes:
  1. Default (Home): Displays the standard text "Home" at the top of the menu.
  2. Organization Name: Displays the name of your organization (e.g., "District School Board") as text.
  3. Organization Logo: Displays a scaled image of your organization's logo.

Managing the Logo Image

If you select Organization Logo, the system uses the image currently stored in your global Clevr Configuration.
Notes
Note: You cannot upload or edit the logo directly on this page. This setting only allows you to choose to display the logo. To change the actual image file, a System Administrator must update the "Organization Logo" setting within the Clevr Configuration module.

Help Button

You can configure the destination of the "Help" button found on the dashboard to ensure users are directed to the correct support resources.
  1. Clevr Help Docs: Select this to redirect users to the standard support documentation.
  2. Custom URL: Alternatively, you can specify a custom URL to redirect users to your own internal intranet, training guides, or IT support portal.
Alert
Important: When entering a Custom URL, you must include the full address starting with https:// (e.g., https://intranet.myschool.edu).

Legacy Access

During transition periods, you may wish to allow users to access the previous version of the dashboard. This setting offers three levels of control:
  1. Yes/No: Toggle to Yes to allow all users to access the previous version, or No to disable it entirely.
  2. Role Based: Select this option to grant access to specific user groups. A checklist will appear, allowing you to select exactly which roles can access the previous interface.

How it works for the User

When enabled, eligible users will see a button allowing them to switch to the previous dashboard.
  1. Session Persistence: Once a user switches, they will remain on the previous dashboard for the duration of their session. To return to the standard home page, they must log out and log back in.
  2. Configuration Requirement: For this feature to function, the user's role must still have a valid Dashboard 2021 configuration active in the system.
